ARTS & CRAFTSCreating fun and meaningful works of art has many benefits! Such as Developing Problem-solving Abilities, Promoting Creativity, Encourages Neural Connections, Builds Fine Motor Skills, and Fosters Relationship Building. We've worked with many local groups to develop our talents. VSA at The Kennedy Center has been one of those amazing groups!

PAYING IT FORWARDGiving back to our community is one of our core principals. It's important to set an example for our members and those around us that lifting others up is always best. In Project 22 we do service projects for local organizations; in the past we've provided Christmas care packages for the Veterans Hospital, for local veterans, Homesafe (domestic abuse victims), and for the homeless. We have collected dog and cat food, cleaning supplies and treats for Safe Place for Animals, and Sumner County Humane Center. We did a Community Victory Garden with the VVA Chapter 240 VFW Post 9851 and also donated fresh vegetables for their food pantry during the summer and Thanksgiving meal packages for Thanksgiving. We have donated paper products/ utensils for the Samaritan Center’s weekly meal. We also made mosaic panels for the mosaic wall at Memorial Park with Borderless Arts. And much, much more!

At the end of all of our dances we like to come together and sing Lean On Me. Share this with your friends and family to give them a smile! |
